Photography has been our lifelong passion, evolving from our early days of landscape, travel, and street photography, to the art of capturing the timeless beauty of weddings. It is truly our dream to document the magic of love through the lens, and we couldn’t imagine doing anything else.
Our approach to wedding photography is deeply rooted in our shared love for the authentic moments and intricate details that make each celebration unique. We believe that every couple deserves images that not only preserve the cherished memories of their day but also evoke the emotions and story behind them.

While one of us focuses on the key moments, the other steps back to craft more artistic, evocative imagery, creating a beautiful balance between tradition and creativity.
Janice has an innate ability to focus on the in-between moments, capturing the raw, authentic emotions that define a wedding day. Her work celebrates romance, the unscripted, and the imperfections that make love so real and beautiful.
Janine, with her creative vision, loves to explore the artistic side of wedding photography, transforming every frame into a piece of art. Together, we combine our complementary strengths to deliver a refined, unique style that brings out the essence of your love story.

Our backstory...
Originally from Belfast, Ireland, we’ve been together for 20 years and married for almost 10. Our love for travel knows no bounds, and our greatest joy is exploring new places, immersing ourselves in different cultures, and—of course—sampling new cuisines! To date, we’ve traveled to 41 countries (and counting), lived long term in five countries on three continents. Yet, it was after our own fairytale wedding that we chose to call Portugal home.
In June 2021, we welcomed our beautiful daughter, Juniper, into the world. This new chapter has been nothing short of magical, and we can’t wait to share the wonders of the world with her—who knows, maybe one day she’ll even be our little assistant!
We left behind the fast-paced life of Seoul, South Korea, and settled in the charming coastal town of Cascais, where we embraced the relaxed beach lifestyle. We finally bought our family home in Sesimbra in 2022 and get to live life on our own terms, forever by the beach.
Since arriving in Portugal, JJMT Photography has flourished. Over the past eight years, we’ve poured our hearts into every aspect of our business. Our goal is to always be there for our couples, offering a sense of familiarity and comfort that allows us to build genuine connections. We strive to make our clients feel like friends, so when the big day arrives, we’re not strangers, but trusted partners in their celebration of love.
We believe that by staying true to ourselves and being flexible for our couples, we’ve built a brand that resonates with those we work with. Our success as a small business is a reflection of this approach, and we’re excited for what the future holds for JJMT Photography.
